History:

Founded by Bert Ewers on December 1, 1983, IEDS has a long history offering Third Party Logistics services in the Northwest.

The following timeline highlights some of the major milestones and progressions in IEDS' history.

 

1983  Inland Empire Distribution Systems founded in Spokane, WA by Bert Ewers. IEDS began          by operating 40,000 square feet of warehouse space in Building 31 of the Spokane          Industrial Park.

1987  IEDS opens facilities in Pasco, WA.

1995  IEDS expands the Pasco operation by completing the construction of a 50,000 square foot          state-of-the-art HazMat Distribution Center

1999  IEDS acquires TSI Distribution in Spokane.

2000  IEDS continues to grow in Pasco, adding a third 50,000 square foot
         warehouse

2001  IEDS acquires Great Northern Warehouses in Spokane.

2002  IEDS completes construction on a fourth 50,000 square foot warehouse in Pasco, WA          bringing the total square footage of the Pasco operation up to 200,000. IEDS also receives          designation as a Foreign Trade Zone operator in Spokane, WA.

2003  Spokane, WA facilities approved as a U.S. Customs Container Freight Station. IEDS          celebrates its 20th year of operation!

 
Today, IEDS has the capacity to operate 1,000,000 square feet in Spokane and Pasco, Washington and is the premier Third Party Logistics service provider for the Inland Northwest (USA). IEDS specializes in four major market sectors including Consumer, Industrial, Chemical, and Forest products

The main objective of IEDS is to provide a seasoned and reliable warehousing and distribution service to all its customers.
